Jamie-Leigh gained a Level 4 NVQ Qualification (equivalent to a degree) in Business Management in April 2019 then decided to transfer this knowledge by launching her own business Call Of Beauty in October 2019.

In 2019 the business started with Jamie-Leigh focusing on providing eyebrow related beauty treatments. Jamie-Leigh has always been a perfectionist when it comes to her own eyebrows, she was keen to set up her own business and put her degree to use, then “Brow Lamination” hit the UK in the Summer of 2019 and she perceived this new treatment as a step into the beauty industry / setting up her own business.

After 4 very successful months, the business faced its first major hurdle, Covid19. The business was closed for the next 4 months although Jamie-Leigh continued to remain positive for the future by further seeking out opportunities to expand Call of Beauty: consisting of changing location to a bigger premises as well as arranging further training into new treatments for after lockdown so that she could provide a better variety of eyebrow focused services to clients.

By August 2020, Call of Beauty was able to reopen and Jamie-Leigh attended an extensive 3-day course focusing on Semi Permanent Makeup which meant she could now offer Microblading and Combination Eyebrows to clients. This was huge for the business and has proved to be a real success.  With Jamie-Leigh being such a perfectionist and having a natural flair with her treatments, this ensures no client will leave disappointed.

Again, after another period of 4 encouraging months, Call of Beauty was forced to closed in January 2021 due to another national lockdown. Jamie-Leigh believes in the saying “Everything happens for a reason” therefore she saw this period as an opportunity to pursue other avenues again in order continue growing her business. With that being said, she completed further training and introduced Lip blush!

Jamie-Leigh has found herself to be in very high demand as she is almost fully booked up 3 months in advance. She announced her new Lip Blush treatment and the 10 spaces she advertised as an introductory offer were filled within the first 12 hours showing the level of trust clients already have in her standard of work. She was also selected as a finalist for the National Hair and Beauty Awards 2021 and received an award for placing 19th Nationally in the category “Rising Star” and year on year she is selected as a finalist in the National Hair and Beauty Awards.

After 3 years of perfecting her Brow Lamination technique, in 2022 Jamie-Leigh introduced Call of Beauty Academy. In addition to Brow Lamination, she now also teaches Henna Brows, Lash Lift and Semi Permanent Eyebrows. This sets her aside from other local industry professionals by showing her level of experience and knowledge in the field as she’s also an educator. Clients heavily trust Jamie-Leigh based on this.
