Call of Beauty Academy
I joined the beauty industry not knowing where to start when looking for courses, who to train with, how much is a good price etc. I simply typed in something like Beauty Training Academy into google and went with my first option - I later regretted this. The training wasn’t personal at all, it wasn’t tailored, it was super basic, no beginners kit... say no more. I then had to pay over double what I paid for my first course to attend another 2 day beginner course which was much better but I still spent / wasted more money that I needed to by lack of guidance when searching for my initial course.
From this I learnt: Go by recommendations & word of mouth. Do your research into your trainer, look at their website, look at their reviews from clients, look at their standard of work on clients. Ultimately find a trainer that is passionate about what they do for their clients as you will be a product of them!
As part of the Beginners courses, you will receive a beginners kit which will contain enough product for whichever treatment you’re training in, to be able to perform a minimum of 10 treatments without having to spend too much further money yourself after investing in the training course. Please note, this does not include pieces of equipment / furniture such as beauty trolley, wax machine, ring light. Therefore there may be items you will still need to purchase. We can send a list out to you in advance of the training day consisting of the items you will need to buy - available on request (if you want to begin performing treatments straight after training). On the SPMU eyebrow course, we do provide students with a machine
Please note deposits are non refundable / non transferable
We ask students to arrange their own models for training in the first instance. However if you are travelling to us / you are not local to the academy, then please get in touch as soon as you have booked your training so that we can arrange a model for you. Model fees are £20 for non SPMU courses and £50 for SPMU brows. If you arrange your own model either yourself or your model can pay the fee
Training days tend to run from 9am to 4pm (week day courses) or 10am to 5pm (Saturday courses). Once you have booked onto a course, you will receive a more detailed schedule for the day
In depth theory / health and safety is covered on all of the courses. Students also have sufficient time to perform the treatments on models with our close assistance. Social media, marketing and branding plays a huge role in being successful in the beauty industry today which is why on every course we offer, there is a dedicated workshop for this where we share all our expertise to assist you in your journey. Not to mention we also have practical exercises during training to prepare you for the treatment before doing it on a real client / person. This will help you to feel confident and ready to perform the treatment during your practical!
Tinting, waxing and shaping methods are covered on our Brow Lamination and Henna Brows course. Mapping is covered on Henna brows and SPMU Brows
NOTHING IS A SECRET - ALL IS REVEALED ON THE COURSE!
